about

Alison Cohen is a Seattle-raised and Miami-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. She is currently studying in the Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music singer-songwriter program at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami.

Her music blends the sounds of 80's synth pop with elements of today’s hit songs. She tells personal stories through visceral lyrics that paint colorful mental images. Alison’s sound can be compared to 80's artists such as Tears for Fears and the Eurythmics, as well as modern artists, such as Lorde, Dagny, SG Lewis and Clairo.

Alison’s debut EP, Neon Girl, was released in November, 2018. She wrote, produced and played all tracks on the album. You can find the EP on all platforms.

Alison has written over 40 songs across a variety of genres including pop, electro pop, ballad, rock, R&B, blues, country and singer-songwriter. She has performed for years at various venues in the US and Europe including cafés, open mics, parties and street fairs, both solo and with a band.
